Advertising space is made available by the council, for the promotion of local events. Space is available on Thames Street at the Dee Street intersection and in Severn Street at the Wansbeck Street intersection.

Advertising space is made available by the Waitaki District Council with the following conditions:
The spaces are available for non-profit and non-political organizations only, for the advertising of events, not causes.
The sign must be securely fixed and be tidy in appearance.
Two advertising spaces are available at each side.
(1) Wansbeck/Severns Street - 4.2m x .8m height
(2) Thames/Dee Streets 2m .7m in height
The spaces are available for a Maximum of 7 days by one organization. If not required by others, the advertising spaces may be booked longer, but will reduced to 7 days if another application is subsequently received.
Booking for spaces are on a "first come-first served" basis and can be booked at the Waitaki Council.. The Council is not responsible for the cost of designing, printing or hanging of these banners.
